Deepika, in the past, has made several iconic and unforgettable appearances at the event. From a saree to body-hugging gowns to billowing ruffled ensembles, her Cannes red carpet game has always been on point. It was a remarkable moment when she wore a lime green tulle tiered gown by Giambattista Valli in 2019 at the film festival. Her asymmetrical and voluminous outfit featured a long train.

In 2018, she brought a hearty dose of drama to the red carpet in the French Riviera and made heads turn in an extravagant hot-pink gown from Ashi Studio’s collection. A top-knot bun, emerald earrings and dramatic eye makeup complemented her ensemble really well.

Apart from Deepika, Hina Khan is also all set to return to the Cannes red carpet. She made an impressive debut at the event in 2019. This year, she will be attending the film festival for the poster launch of her upcoming Indo-English film, Country of Blind.

For one of the appearances at the film festival in 2019, she slipped into a stunning glistening grey tulle gown by Australian label Alin Le Kal. The flowy and strapless gown featured a floor-sweeping train and a risque thigh-high slit.

As confirmed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pooja Hegde, Tamannaah Bhatia and Nayanthara will also attend the prestigious film festival. Meanwhile, television star Helly Shah will also make her debut at Cannes this year.

It is truly going to be a glam affair and we can’t wait to see who wears what for the red carpet.

India has also been announced as the official Country of Honour at the upcoming Marche’ Du Film, organised alongside the Cannes Film Festival, in France. Akshay Kumar is also expected to attend the Cannes Film Festival this year.
