India Today’s State of the State Odisha Conclave will be held this Friday and will begin at 11 am. The Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik, will give a keynote address on ‘The Odisha model of governance’.

India Today’s State of the State Odisha Conclave will be held on Friday, April 29.

The conclave will begin at 11 am and it will be broadcast live on the India Today website (https://www.indiatoday.in/).

The programme will start with introductory remarks by Raj Chengappa, the Group Editorial Director (Publishing) of India Today Group. This will be followed by a keynote address on ‘What makes Odisha tick’ by Odisha’s Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra.

The keynote address will be followed by the distribution of ‘The India Today State of State Awards’.

The Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, will also give a keynote address on ‘The Odisha model of governance’.

The sessions will begin after the chief minister’s address.

Here are some of the important sessions of the conclave

‘The emerging B-Town: What makes Bhubaneswar the go-to place for industries?’ The speakers for the session are Hemant Sharma, the principal secretary of Odisha’s industries department, Ranjan Nayak, the COO of JSW Utkal steel, economist Rajib Sekhar Sahoo and director of Odisha Tourism, Sachin R Jadhav.

‘Bhubaneswar as a start-up destination: Achievements and challenges’ The speakers are Debiprasad Sarangi, Chief Executive Officer of IserveU Technology Pvt Ltd, Binayak Acharya, the founder of ThinkZone and Ambika Satapathy, the founder of Zoofresh Foods.

‘Odisha the essence of India's pluralism’ The speakers for the session are author and mythologist Devdutt Pattnaik, and R Balakrishnan, author, researcher and chief advisor of CMO.
